Product Description

Sit in the lap of luxury while riding your way to fitness with the Diamondback 900Sr recumbent exercise bike. The 900Sr--which includes many of the most sought-after features on the market--is equipped with an efficient eddy current brake system that provides up to 16 levels of resistance. As a result, it's easy to find the perfect resistance level for your needs, whether you want to warm up before hitting the weights or challenge yourself with a serious cardio burn. The ergonomic seat, meanwhile, teams with an adjustable mesh seatback with lumbar support to create whole new levels of stability and comfort. Add in the easygoing step-thru frame, which is ideal for people who are rehabbing from injury or who find traditional upright bikes uncomfortable, and you have a terrific workout accessory for the home.

The 900Sr's integrated console helps track your workout progress.

The bike includes a mesh seatback with lumbar support.

The 900Sr offers plenty of workout flexibility, with an easy-to-read console that supports several different program types, including manual, random, fat-burning intervals, glute max hill climb, fitness test, strength, target heart rate, heart rate intervals, and custom trainer. The latter program is particularly valuable over the long term, as it lets you vary your workout depending on your mood. This not only keeps your attitude fresh, but it also makes your overall training regimen more efficient by challenging your body in different ways. It's also a breeze to track your workout progress thanks to the blue backlit LCD, which displays your time, pulse, calories, intensity level, RPM, speed, distance, and watts. And no workout is complete without a little motivational music, with is why the 900Sr comes with a plug-in jack for your MP3 player. Once you're plugged in, you can listen to your favorite playlists and tune out the rest of the world as you cycle through the imaginary hillsides.

Other features include contact pulse sensors in the handgrips for reading your heart rate, a Polar-compatible wireless heart rate receiver, an accessory holder on the console for magazines or books, a built-in Smart Fan, and a weight capacity of 300 pounds. The 900Sr measures 62 by 43.3 by 27.5 inches (W x H x D), weighs 126 pounds, and carries the following warranties: limited lifetime on the frame and brake, three years on parts and electronics, and one year on labor.

No more knee pain

This has been the best purchase I have made in quite sometime. It is so easy to use and the benefits are amazing. I have knee pain and can't go up and down stairs.. Well, now I can. I use it every other day and it helps you right away. More movement and the knees don't hurt. My aunt and uncle who are in there 70's came over to see how it worked.. My uncle gave me his credit card and said "order us one"..They even love it. It is so quiet and you can set the bike to what you are comfortable with. I would recommend this bike to anyone who has knee injuries or who just want to get some exercise.. It makes your legs alot stronger.
Thank you for making me move again!! Becky
Gym Rat Opinion on Diamondbacks 900sr Recumbent

I am a gym rat. I am used to doing cardio at Gregory Gym (Hook'Em!). They have Life Fitness bikes, both stand up and recumbent, treadmills and ellipticals. They also have Precor ellipticals. In short I am used to doing cardio on exercise machines that cost more than some new and some used cars.

This bike was purchased for home use for my mother. I try to motivate her to exercise. But like many of you know, at the end of the day when you are tired from working you neglect yourself. I am used to upright bikes and have seen my mother use the recumbent when we used to go to the gym together. I was not a fan of the recumbent bike, but after a few days of use, it is comfortable, easy to use and gets you a great sweet. Best of all it is easier on the knee joints.

As far as assembly- it is easy and took about an hour. They provide all the tools you need to put it together. In all you are basically attaching the seat, pedals, the two stabilizing bars (front and back)on the base and attaching the console and console bar to the unit. To save space I suppose, some of the bolts were pre-screwed into the unit. For instance the bar that you hold to register your heart rate beside the seat attaches to the unit by four screws. I spent more time looking for those screws then it took to installing them. They were loosely screwed into where they needed to be minus that bar.

As I said before I am a gym rat and am used to working out on high end equipment. That being said, this is a great machine. It is easy to use and links up to my polar heart rate. There is plenty of resistance to keep you challenged and most importantly it runs quietly. So quite, that you are more likely to make more noise from your shorts rubbing together than using the bike.

The left side panel programs allow you to change the resistance manually. The right side programs do not allow you to manually change the resistance. It will on its own depending on your heart rate like top end machines do (but they also allow you to lower the resistance).
For right now I have only been using manual modes. One draw back is that on random mode sometimes the resistance is too much. On the Life Fitness machines you put in your resistance and even on random or hill mode you will feel a difference of resistance but within the range of that level. Maybe my legs are weak? One last thing, I know some people might be turned off that it needs a power source to run. It does shut off automatically to save energy.

All and All, I have to remember this is for my mom to get cardiovascularly fit. But I do enjoy it, it gives you all the resistance you want, it runs quietly, they're lots of different modes to choose from. You will get the same work out as you would going to the gym. Highly recommended.

This was hands-down THE best purchase I have made in years!! I did ALOT of research prior to my purchase. After deciding on the actual bike, I decided on the distributor. Amazon had the best price with free shipping and for a purchase that's over 100lbs, that's a huge savings! There was some assembly required but the instructions were easy to read and follow and all pieces and tools were packed neatly and clearly identified. I set my bike up right in the living room near the couch and TV. I started off slowly with some of the preset random workouts. After 3 weeks I am so thrilled that I have lost over 9lbs! But more than that, the loose fitting clothes and firming up of muscles is wonderful. I used to come home from work so stressed and tired that I did nothing in the evenings. My back ached, my knees ached. Now, I do a 36 minute workout while watching the news, then on to an active evening. The bike is wonderful. There are too many programs to count. There are programs for EVERY fitness level and every goal. It's completely silent and does not take up too much space. it is very, very comfortable. It has no impact on my knees and is so supportive of my back. It is extremely well constructed and has an incredible waranty. I definitely recommend this to anyone who's given up on working out. This machine has changed my life!!

Reviewer: D. Geselman,
I love this bike.I ride it everyday which I did not do with my old bike. It was a good deal and easy to assemble. When I opened the box the only minor problem was an end cap on the front stabilizer bar was broken. I called Amazon and they gave me a number to contact DB and they were very nice and I recieved 2 replacements the next day!!The bike is very quiet, I swear you could hear a pin drop while riding. I would recommend this bike and or company to anyone. Free shipping was great plus the delivery was very timely

This recumbent exercise bike was all it said it was and works very well.
It was also much cheaper on-line at Amazon.com than in the speciality stores.
I've used it for several weeks and it is very easy to use and comfortable.
